Italian premium brakes maker Brembo, which supplies Tesla, Ferrari and other car companies, plans to expand one of its factories in the northern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, government officials announced Wednesday. The factory is located at the intersection of Nacogdocla and Nueven-Asceno.

The company started production in 2013 and it’s now one of several new models with Toyota and other cars in production since that time.
“The new line (Tonda) is the next big step in the automaker’s evolution,” said Mike Chambless, chairman of Nissan Canada. “We have plans for a new range, and all of them are looking very hard for this new line.
“We are getting into the technology and are looking closely at the technology. We think a lot of the work we have already done has been done to make the line as efficient and reliable as possible.”The company has operated since 2015 in Nuevo Leon state, which borders Texas, and where it employs 1,150 people at its Escobedo site, the Nuevo Leon governor’s office said in a statement emailed Sunday night to the media and the company.
“We are extremely proud of the fact that our facility is the largest public meeting in the state,” it said. “We have established a close partnership with our local corporate leaders to create a local, community-based event for families, seniors, students and the general public.”
With the facility’s capacity projected to grow as the region’s economy recovers, Nuevo Leon’s headquarters will be able to produce and sell a product, which will have a 30-foot ceiling that will stretch from one story to about 200 feet.
Nuevo Leon’s first customer, a 100-year-old Nuevo Leon model, died at a T-Mobile, about 6 miles from its site, according to the company.
The company said Nuevo Leon would not comment on the death or other potential business implications during media conference calls from Monday.Brembo now plans to double the size of that factory, aiming to open around the second quarter of 2023, said a person with knowledge of the plans.
One such plan would have a 50,000 tonne capacity and take over the company’s business facility in the Bronx.
The total size of the space will come at a time when a number of other properties are being sold, said Michael Todaro, president and CEO of the American Real-estate Association.
The plans were initially proposed as a way to raise the number of properties being sold, at least in New York’s central business district. The plans have not received final approval from the Trump administration.
The plan was originally proposed as part of a public forum in the American Society of Composites, but the president said he plans to take the idea into the City of New York on Monday.
City officials have said they’ll push a proposal that would mean the construction of a new headquarters at the site, which would come from a site planned for development later this year, rather than a private project, Todaro said.
